Crowding, Gaps and Bite Problems Invisalign Can Correct
Invisalign clear aligners can correct a wide range of alignment problems, including:
Crowded or overlapping teeth that are hard to floss between
Gaps between your front teeth or elsewhere in your smile
Teeth that shifted after you finished braces years ago
An overbite, underbite or crossbite
An open bite, where your front teeth don't meet when you close
A front tooth that has turned or tipped out of line
Straight teeth are also easier to brush and floss, which helps protect your gums.
Invisalign Treatment Led by Dr. Leonardo Castillo, DMD
Union Dental is an Invisalign-certified provider, and Dr. Leonardo Castillo, owner and lead dentist, plans and oversees your aligner treatment. He founded Union Dental in 2018 as an independent, family-owned practice, and it has stayed independent, so there's no corporate quota behind the treatment we recommend. He is a member of the American Dental Association, the Nevada Dental Association and the Chicago Dental Society.
His rule for aligners is the same as for everything else: take care of what matters most first, and be honest about what can wait.
Aligner treatment runs for months, and you'll see the same dentist and the same bilingual team at every check-in.

What Is Invisalign and How Does It Work?
Invisalign is a clear aligner system that straightens teeth without brackets or wires. You wear a series of custom, removable aligners, switching to the next set on a schedule your dentist sets. Each set applies gentle, steady pressure that moves specific teeth a small, planned distance toward their final position.
Your treatment is mapped out from a 3D digital scan before the first aligner is made. Some cases use attachments, small tooth-colored bumps bonded to certain teeth that help the aligners grip.
Discreet
Clear aligners are hard to spot in conversation or photos.
Removable
You take them out to eat, so there's no list of foods to avoid.
Easy to keep clean
You brush and floss normally, with no brackets trapping fo
No metal
Nothing to rub your cheeks or come loose between visits.
Invisalign is one of our cosmetic dentistry treatments, along with professional teeth whitening.
Who Is a Good Candidate for Invisalign?
You're likely a good candidate if:
Your teeth are crowded, gapped or mildly to moderately out of line
Your teeth and gums are healthy
You're ready to wear your aligners consistently for the whole treatment
You'll wear a retainer afterward to hold your result
Invisalign may not be the right fit, or not yet, if:
You have active gum disease or untreated cavities, which we treat first, starting with a cleaning and exam
Your bite problem stems from jaw position, which usually calls for a different approach
The teeth that need to move include dental implants, which aligners can't shift
The real answer comes from an exam and scan. If aligners aren't your best option, we tell you before you start and walk you through the alternatives.
Changes are gradual, and many patients notice them within the first few months. Your result depends on both sides: we do our part right, and you wear your aligners and retainers as directed.

Exam and consultation
We examine your teeth and gums, take the X-rays we need, and talk through what you'd like to change.
Digital scan and plan
A digital scan replaces impression trays, and from it we map every tooth movement. You see the simulated result, your estimated timeline and your fee before you decide.
Your first aligners
At your fitting, we place any attachments, check that the aligners seat properly, and show you how to put them in, take them out and clean them.
Wearing and switching
You wear each set nearly all day and night and switch to the next set on the schedule we give you, typically every one to two weeks.
Check-ins
Regular visits confirm your teeth are tracking the plan. If a tooth falls behind, we adjust, which can mean additional aligners.
Retainers
After your last aligner, we scan again and make your Vivera® retainers. Wearing them as directed helps keep your teeth from drifting back.
