Consultation and imaging
We examine the site, take the imaging we need, and assess bone and gum health. This is where you find out whether an implant is realistic for you.
Your plan and your price
We lay out the treatment plan, the timeline, and the cost, in writing, before you agree to anything. If your case genuinely needs a specialist for part of the work, this is where we tell you and refer you, rather than stretching past what belongs in this office.
Implant placement
The post is placed into the jawbone here in our office. You are fully numb throughout, and we go through aftercare before you leave.
Healing
The bone integrates with the post over a period of months. We check on it along the way rather than leaving you to wonder.
The crown
Once the implant is stable, we fit the custom crown, check your bite, and adjust it until it feels like your own tooth.

Who Is a Good Candidate
Implants suit most healthy adults, but not everyone, and we would rather tell you that at the consultation than halfway through. What matters:

-
Enough bone in the jaw to hold the post. Imaging tells us this on day one.
-
Healthy gums. Active gum disease is treated before an implant is considered.
-
General health. Some conditions and medications affect how bone heals, so we go through your history properly.
-
Not a smoker, or willing to stop around the procedure. Smoking materially affects how implants heal.
-
Time. The process runs over several months. If you need the gap closed in weeks, a bridge is the better conversation.

If you are not a candidate, we say so plainly and show you what else is available. We are not going to place an implant in a mouth that is not ready for one.

If you are here about a wisdom tooth, an extraction, or a jaw problem rather than an implant, call us anyway. We will look, tell you honestly whether it is something we handle here, and refer you to the right specialist when it is not.
About
Implants at Union Dental
Union Dental is an independent, family-owned private practice founded in 2018 by Dr. Leonardo Castillo. An implant is the most expensive treatment in general dentistry, which is exactly why it matters who is recommending one. Nobody here has a production target. When we say an implant is the right answer, that is the honest clinical answer, and we go through the risks, benefits, and alternatives with you first.
Two things follow. We will tell you when a bridge or a partial would serve you better, even though it earns us less. And when a case genuinely calls for a specialist, we refer you out instead of taking it on.
We do our part right: careful planning from real imaging, precise placement, and a crown properly fitted to your bite. How long the implant serves you also depends on your gum health, your habits, and how your body heals. We would rather be straight with you about that than promise you a result nobody can promise.
Union Dental is rated 4.9 stars across 475+ Google reviews, the highest rating among the top practices in the market.

What a Dental Implant Costs
Cost depends on the site, the imaging your case needs, whether any groundwork is required first, and the crown that goes on top. We price the whole plan up front, so the number you see at the consultation is the number you are agreeing to.
We are in-network with a wide range of plans, and our team verifies your coverage, explains your benefits, and files the claim for you. Coverage for implants varies more than for most treatments, so we check yours specifically rather than guessing. Without insurance, our membership plan takes 30% off treatment, and we work with CareCredit and Cherry for financing. You can see the plans we're in-network with before your visit.

Find Out Where You Actually Stand
If you have been told you need an implant and you want a second opinion, or you just want to know whether you are a candidate, come in. We will look at the imaging with you, tell you the truth about your options, and give you the price before you decide anything.
What an Implant Can Replace
A single missing tooth
One post, one dental crown on top. This is the most common case and the most straightforward.
Several teeth in a row
Implants can carry a fixed bridge across a longer gap without preparing the natural teeth at either end, which is the main reason people choose them over a dental bridge.
A full arch
Implants can anchor a denture so it snaps into place instead of resting on the gum. If you already wear a denture that moves when you eat, this is the conversation to have. We also fit conventional and immediate dentures and partials when that is the better fit for you.
How a Dental Implant Works
An implant is the closest thing dentistry has to rebuilding a tooth from the ground up. Most tooth replacements sit on the gum or borrow support from neighbouring teeth. An implant does neither. The post goes into the bone where the root used to be, the bone grows around it over a period of months, and the crown on top is carried by that foundation rather than by anything else in your mouth.

That is why implants are the standard for replacing missing teeth. The teeth either side are left untouched, and the bone in the area keeps being used rather than shrinking away from disuse.
