About Union Dental — An Independent Las Vegas Dental Practice

Union Dental is an independent, family-owned dental practice in Las Vegas. Dr. Leonardo Castillo founded it in 2018 and still owns it. No corporate parent, no outside investor, and nobody setting a monthly production number for the people who treat you.

Why Union Dental Stayed Independent

Dental practices across Las Vegas are being bought up and run to a formula. Dr. Castillo worked in both corporate and private offices after dental school and saw where that leads: a rotating cast of providers, targets to hit, and a treatment plan shaped partly by something other than the tooth in front of you.

He wanted the opposite, which is why the name is what it is. A union is a two-way arrangement. Our half is an honest diagnosis, a clear explanation of your options, careful work, and a team that knows you by name. Your half is showing up and keeping to the plan you chose. When both sides hold up their end, your smile has its best chance at a long, healthy life.

How We Practice

Only the work you actually need

We did not put the problem in your mouth. Our job is to find it, tell you the truth about it, and lay out the risks, benefits, and alternatives so you can decide. Sometimes the honest answer is a smaller repair than you were expecting. Sometimes it is that nothing needs doing yet. We will tell you either way.

What matters most first

When there is more than one thing going on, we sequence it. The urgent work comes first, and we are straight with you about what can safely wait and what cannot. You get a plan you can actually follow, not a list that feels designed to be expensive.

A partnership that goes both ways

We do our part right and then show you how to protect it. How long dental work serves you depends on your habits, your bite, and how your body responds, not on the dentist alone. We would rather be honest with you about that than promise you an outcome nobody can promise. If something fails within a few years and it is genuinely on us, we make it right.

What Makes an Independent Practice Different

Care under one roof

Most of what you need is handled here, by people you already know, including restorative dentistry such as crowns and bridges, root canal therapy, and dental implants. When a case genuinely needs a specialist, we say so and refer you rather than stretching past what belongs in this office. You can see all of our services in one place.

Modern tools, used in-house

Crowns are designed here on our own CAD/CAM equipment rather than being handed off, which lets us check the fit and the margins ourselves before a case is finished. We scan digitally instead of using impression trays, and we use laser therapy in gum treatment. Union Dental is also an Invisalign-certified provider.

A layout built for private conversations

The office sits in a professional medical building and is laid out in a circle on purpose. Conversations about your treatment and what it will cost happen at the end of your visit, in a private room, not at a front desk with people waiting behind you.

A team that knows you

The same dentist and the same team see you each visit, and our staff is bilingual, so Spanish-speaking patients are looked after in their own language. That continuity is most of the reason patients tell us they finally stopped dreading the dentist.
