What Dentures and Partials Are
Dentures are removable replacement teeth set in a gum-colored base. A full denture replaces every tooth in the upper or lower arch. A partial fills the gaps between healthy natural teeth and clips onto them to stay in place. Both are made from impressions of your mouth and adjusted until they sit comfortably.
Union Dental is an independent, family-owned private practice, and dentures are part of our restorative dentistry in Las Vegas. We look at your gums, your remaining teeth and the bone underneath, tell you which options genuinely fit, and give you the price before you agree to anything.
Our Denture Options
in Las Vegas
Which type suits you depends on how many teeth are missing, the health of the teeth you have left, and how firmly you need the denture to hold.
Full Dentures (Conventional and Immediate)
A full denture replaces all the teeth in one arch. A conventional denture is made once the gums have healed after teeth come out. An immediate denture is made ahead of time and placed on the day the teeth are removed, so you are never without teeth. It usually needs a reline as the gums settle.
Implant-Retained (Snap-On) Dentures
A snap-on denture clips onto a small number of dental implants in the jaw. It holds firmer than a denture that rests on the gums, which matters most for a lower denture. You still take it out to clean it. The implants need several months to heal before the denture is attached.
Partial Dentures: Metal, Acrylic and Flexible
-
Metal partials have a thin cast-metal framework. They are strong and slim, and they are the usual choice for a long-term partial.
-
Acrylic partials have a gum-colored plastic base. They are quicker to make and cost less, and they are often used while other treatment is planned.
-
Flexible partials have a soft, bendable base with gum-colored clasps, so no metal shows.

Denture Repair in Las Vegas
Many denture repairs are done the same day, depending on the break and when you bring it in. That covers a cracked or snapped base, a tooth that has come off, and a broken clasp on a partial. Call first so we can plan the time.
Do not glue a denture at home. Household glue damages the base and can make a proper repair impossible. A denture that has become loose rather than broken usually needs a reline, which reshapes the inside to fit your gums as they are now. If a denture is past repairing, we tell you and go through your options.
Dentures, Implants or a Bridge: Which Fits You?
Option | What it is | Fixed or removable | Typical timeline |
|---|---|---|---|
Full or partial denture | Replacement teeth on a gum-colored base | Removable | Several visits |
Snap-on denture | A denture that clips onto implants | Removable, held by implants | Several months |
Bridge | A replacement tooth anchored to the teeth on either side | Fixed | 2–3 visits |
Implant | A post in the jawbone carrying a crown | Fixed | Several months |
The answer depends on how many teeth are missing, the health of the teeth and bone that remain, your budget and how much time you can give it. Dental bridges and implants stay in your mouth and replace one tooth or a few. We go through the risks, benefits and alternatives of each, give you the price, and you choose.

How We Make and Fit Your Dentures
Our mission
We examine your mouth, take X-rays where needed, and go through the denture types that fit your situation and what each costs.
Impressions
We take detailed impressions or a scan of your gums and any remaining teeth. This is the step the fit depends on.
Try-In
You try a wax model of the denture so we can check the fit, the bite and how the teeth look before the final set is made.
Fitting
We fit the finished denture, check your bite, and show you how to put it in, take it out and clean it.
Adjustments and Follow-Up
Most people need a few small adjustments as the mouth gets used to the denture. Gums and bone change shape over time, so relines and eventually a new denture are a normal part of wearing one.
